When women become shoppers?

A study show, that women can accuse their montly cycle for the impulsively extravagant purchases that are made.

Scientists found that most of the women deal with this time of the month, avoiding negative emotions and feelings with impulsive shopping. Professor Karen Payn will present her discovery to the British association of psychologists at a meeting in Brighton later this week. She asked 443 women aged between 18 and 50 on their habits about spending money. 60% answered, that they spend most of the money in the last phase of the cycle.

‘Spending appears to be associated with strong emotions. They feel stressed or depressed and are more likely to shop, to use shopping to regulate their emotions’ Payn said.

Another explanation is that women buy objects that cause them to feel more attractive around 14 days before their monthly cycle. Most of the purchases made by women at that time are for embellishment, including jewelry, makeup and high boots.
